Earthquake in Ecuador
After the 7.8 earthquake in Ecuador we want to inform you that our travelers and staff are safe. Our clients’ safety is always our primary concern and we are glad that none were affected.
The earthquake was the strongest one in about 40 years. It is a tragedy for our country, but it has not affected the highlands, the Amazon or the Galapagos. Tourism to Ecuador supports our economy, gives employment to many people, and will contribute to rebuilding our towns and villages that have suffered complete or partial destruction.
We always welcome you in our beautiful country and hope you visit us soon/look forward to receiving you here. During your tour with us we will do our best to keep you safe and our team is available 24/7 for emergencies.
If you want to help, please consider making a donation to MINGAI foundation. They are organizing basic medical care in the affected area, especially in the smaller towns and villages that have not received any help yet.
You can deposit the money in our account or send a check to our bank. We will make sure that it gets to its destination. Through personal contacts, we can assure you that the money goes to where it is needed.
Please send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org after you have made a donation. That way our accounting department knows the money is coming and where it has to go.
