Galapagos Island Hopping

Galapagos Island Hopping

Hotel based Galapagos vacation

Whilst we do often recommend a cruise, an increasing number of visitors never set foot on a live-aboard boat as the choice of lodges and hotels in the Galapagos is growing and with a so-called island hopping tour you can explore some of the uninhabited island with daily boat tours. Galapagos offers everything from backpacker hostels to luxurious resorts.

One of the advantages is that you can create your own itinerary. Usually you pick one or more of the inhabited islands as your base and take day tours to visitors’ sites or other, smaller islands from there.

Our most popular island hopping tour combines Santa Cruz with San Cristobal. It also includes a visit to one of the small uninhabited islands. If beautiful beaches should be a part of your tour, be sure to include Isabela, for example in our 6-days tour. During an extensive 8-day island hopping tour you will stay on the three largest islands (Santa Cruz, San Cristobal, Isabela) and participate in many tours, maximizing your chances to observe the amazing wildlife.

Of course we are also happy to build your tailor-made Galapagos tour, according to your interests and budget!

Our highlights were the sea lions, the numerous iguanas, the red cliff crabs and the blue-footed boobies. We saw sharks and sea turtles while snorkeling and also here numerous birds.

Reasons for a Galapagos Island Hopping

A Galapagos Island Hopping is the right choice for you when you…

… want an organized vacation but still have enough time to explore the islands Santa Cruz, San Cristobal and Isabela by yourself.

… prefer to explore the Galapagos Islands with a land base

… don’t want to have full board but prefer to decide for yourself in the evening in which restaurant you eat? Because this way you might get in touch with the local people.

….you would like to make day trips in small groups (max. 16 persons), when this is appropriate? Thereby you receive an explanation of the geological, botanical and endemic characteristics from a nature guide!

As a specialist for trips to Ecuador and Galapagos, we would like to advise you to plan a longer stay in Galapagos when planning your trip. Getting to and from Galapagos will cost you a full day, so there is less time for excursions. Go swimming, snorkeling, walking and relaxing during your Galapagos vacation. Our travel experts will do the trip planning and organization for you!
